Vague Angels Euro Tour day 1

No one has come up with a suitable explanation about the fleecing of things in general regarding the existence of NYC to Philly flights. Nor why NYC to Philly to Milan should be cheaper than just Philly to Milan. Maybe Patrick was trying to wrap his head around said imponderable and maybe I was further complicating matters with stupid time killing brainteasers like, “Hey Pat, can you think of any words that when spelled backwards turn out to mean the reverse of what they usually mean? The closest I’ve come so far is ‘on’ and ‘no’, but—and maybe this is a whole new thing to get our heads into—usually not only does the word spelled in reverse not mean the reverse of the word, it’s usually not a word at all!” All I know is that last I heard from him he slowed down while we were walking in Philly to our connecting flight to Milan , “Uh...let me...uh...gimme a couple seconds to look for my passport.” Well I just kept walking, the plane took off, the rest of the band are the last to board:
“Patrick lost his passport!!!”
Luckily for me, the first two shows in Milan and Bologna are solo. But for all I know right now Pat is being patched from Copenhagen to St. Louis to Kansas City to Dubai to get here…
The show in Milan was incredible and thus I remember very little of what was actually said at any given moment. I think Eva from the Gang did a late night blogging of it herself at http://www.thegang.us . You might need to check that out…

The People Have Spoken:

That St. Louis to KC flight is a bear.

On a related note, I’ve spent the better part of the last six months trying to come up with the shortest 3-syllable English words--so far I have area, aria, and oreo. (Does aria even count as English?) I’m convinced that if I find a 2-letter, 3-syllable word, I’ll understand the universe.

Area, Idea, Iota, Aria ? Iowa, Ohio, Oreo

4 letters-4 syllables = Aiea (ah-ee-ay-ah)

I can’t believe I missed idea and iota. Nice call. And Aiea is also borderline English, but impressive nonetheless.
