You’ll Have to Take My Word For It…

What’s brown, brown and white and just rocked their faces off all weekend opening for Chris mother-fucking Cornell? Thas right my friends, and you’ll have to take my word for it because I forgot my camera at home! The man is super-human, a true rock-n-roll shaman… his voice just gets better and better and fucking BETTER. The audience was puddled and puddy in his hands, myself included-- we clapped when he said clap, we threw the goat when he commanded, when he said jump we said “how high"-- he’d say “hello” or “thank you” and we would scream our everlovin’ faces off!! His band was killer as well-- everyone really chilled and relaxed and rockin’ on stage, great camraderie. I found myself thinking that when it all comes out in the wash it’ll be Chris Cornell and Eddie Vedder whose statues are erected as the anointed rock-saviors of their time, the span of their lives continuing to permeate the masses-- and Cobain will be the gifted guy who checked out and taught us to say no to drugs… Some might call that blasphemous, but I stand by it. There are worse things than being wrong. Go see Chris Cornell and see if you agree…
In other news, check out this Japanese-EG’s-myspace-friend-- there’s something about this guy worth checking, but lord knows if I can tell what it is, it just appealed to me for some reason, so maybe it’ll bring you joy…
