A rock-n-roll dream-come-true is all I have to say… The setting of Red Rocks Amphitheatre is so gorgeous that I was in a constant state of wonder and amazement. HUGE ROCKS! The whole day was beautiful, sunny, breezy, and as the sun went down, the gentle sparkle of Denver in the distance. And did I mention we rocked motherfuckin’ face?! The people of Colorado have been very very good to us these past four days, the vibe out here is pretty special… Perhaps because everyone gets to look at a mountain every day? The natural beauty out here is astounding.
After our show we got a chance to catch the ever-awesome Spoon—and there’s nothing like yelling FA-NA-TI-CAL FUCK!! at the behest of Wayne Coyne. The Flaming Lips were cosmic superstars, what with their aliens and Santa Clauses and big green bouncing balls—SO much fun! I laughed like I did when I was three years old! Rad!
We’re staying here in Denver one more day because, um, it’s my birthday! And then we head back east for a few shows before we start a string of dates with Chris Cornell. This tour is kicking ass.
