More Magic in Seattle…
It was so great to be able to check out St. Vincent and The Black Angels at Sasquatch, both really great shows. Stephanie, the drummer from The Black Angels, is really interesting to watch-- a relentless beat under the Doors-y drone of the rest of the band, she reminded me of a tiger stalking its prey cuz she gets this look-in-her-eye. Pretty sweet!
I got my first taste of owl medicine walking in Discovery Park… a beautiful creature… she had a message for me, but I’ll never tell…
I saw you guys last night at the Bowery Ballroom, and you guys were amazing beyond words. I woke up this morning with a pain in the neck from headbanging so much and a hoarse voice from screaming so much—that is how much you guys made me rock. You guys are the greatest!
