We finish up our little smidge of Ohio tonight with a show in Columbus (still opening for Chris Cornell!), then it’s off to Nashville—the place that calls to my yearning country alter-ego!
Cleveland Rocks!
I mean to say, it ROCK-ed, the other night! Visited Akron yesterday, a balmy autumn day full of red and orange and fuschia leaves piled up on neighborly midwestern curbs. We finish up our little smidge of Ohio tonight with a show in Columbus (still opening for Chris Cornell!), then it’s off to Nashville-- the place that calls to my yearning country alter-ego!
The tape player is broken in the van-- boo hoo! But this grrrl always has a back-up! On the iPod: Dolly Parton, Emmylou Harris, Waylon Jennings, Tom T. Hall-- in other words YEE HAW mo fo’s!
Speaking of the country alter-ego, check out the recording I did this past June of my other dearly-beloved project Larune at The Echo Sessions—you can download 3 FREE TRACKS from my Periodic Label page, and if you likey, then buy the rest of the session, which includes 5 Larune tracks plus 5 tracks by shaman-psych-rocker Finian McKean. Woo hoo!!
Perhaps you’ve figured out by now that The Periodic Label is an open-source music site-- it’s a great community of independent bands, out there making it happen on our own terms and making their music available for FREE. You can download all varieties of independent sonic yum-yum for free on this site, for instance: SMYER has just released their fantastic debut album-- in its entirety-- on this here label, all for free. We hope you’ll have a listen because we sure do like it a lot! Go ahead and check it out--
