The Echo Sessions enjoyed a grand debut last night at Echo Sound Studios in Red Hook, Brooklyn… good times, good times, good times!
Aw man was that a blast-- I haven’t listened to the recordings of last night’s sessions, but I’ve got this feeling we really caught something spesh-- the vibe down in Red Hook was pretty bitchin’-- we got a bunch of Larune tunes on analog, I’m not really sure what happened but somehow the situation of recording in front of a live audience made for a certain hyper-focus, very intense-- so let’s hope that’s all caught on tape. I’ll keep you posted. In any case, it was a very proud moment for The Periodic Label crew-- can’t wait to reveal the finished yum-yum on this here site!
AND our fellow Echo Session-er was a real find! You must check out Finian McKean and the Wild Palms IMMEDIATELY. Raw, yum, chaos, melodic madness-- some of the best, most real, most energetically sound and original music I’ve heard in a long time… Thank Grod for loving Brooklyn right now!
