Widower is the musicalis of Kevin Large, from Asbury Park, New Jersey. Shortly upon moving to Brooklyn in fall, 2006, Kevin met bassist Heather Cowan at a coffee shop in the West Village around the corner from Electric Lady Studios, where she was recording with Ryan Adams. The two began to record/produce 3 new songs Kevin had written, with visiting pedal steelist Chris Zasche (of The Maldives), from Seattle. Catherine Boutwell provides backing vocals and duets with Dave Ulrich on drums and banjo. Currently, they are blessed with the addition of Gordon Hartin on pedal steel for future live shows. Widower is looking forward to the release of a split 7” with The Quiet Life, due early fall 2007.

widower is everything i still love about music. these songs are dripping with honesty and heartfelt emotion.
