Here to pump you up

We are The Anabolics. We are a duo. Annabelle Blue (guitar and vocals), and Marcelo, yup, just Marcelo, no last name (drums and vocals). We play garage and power pop. Our songs are about exes we kicked to the curb, people we love, people we hate, cheating, lying, scorned lovers, and stalkers. We have one song that’s in Spanish. It’s called Vaya Con Dios. The rest are in English. We sound like the bastard child of The Shangri-Las and The Clash. We dress in miniskirts, fishnets, go-go boots, sunglasses and leather. We use lots and lots of amps. We got together in New York City in the summer of 2003. We started playing shows that fall. Where we came from doesn’t matter. The only thing that matters is the next move. We have played all over New York and in lots of other places too, across the US, Scandinavia, and the South Pacific. When we play live, people get up and dance. Everywhere we go, we make friends and enemies. Either way, people remember us. We have a full length CD and a three song EP out. We’re in the process of recording more songs. More recording and more live shows. That’s the plan. You can also check us out at http://www.theanabolics.com. There are songs and photos and other exciting things there too. You can reach us at . We love you.
